Something about this sofa makes me happy, and I am normally not into contemporary furniture. It has tasteful whimsy.
It's called the Borghese Sofa and costs $5175. WOWZAH!
The text on the website is fantastically pompous:
"The stone pines of the Villa Borghèse in Roma serve as the guiding aesthetic for this light sofa by Noé Duchaufour Lawrance for fellow French design house La Chance. It's no wonder that Noé started out as a sculptor. His work embraces the ideals of "niwa," the bijoux garden at the heart of a traditional Japanese home."
Ha! So heavy handed. I love it!
