I watched the whole first season of Versailles.....and I didn't love it, but it was fun to see shots of Versailles in the first stages of expansion. The show is a coming of age story about a gigantic hunting palace that will grow to be the behemoth that we know and love.
Wow, just watched The Intouchables and loved it. It is a bro-comedy (my favorite genre), but smart too.
Any who, the reason for posting this picture is that my grandmother has collected giraffes for much of her life, and her home is a giraffe shrine. Whenever I see anything with a giraffe on it, I think of her (see curtains above).
Grandma, when you read this, send me some pictures of your collection.

Blue is by far and away my favorite color; and no one does it like the French. I love Navy and smokey blues that are almost a cornerstone of Americana, but they always feel like a choice, not an impulse. The French bleed blue. The last time I was in Paris, I (half) unwittingly photographed nearly every blue door I saw and came away with a great souvenir- a collective pallet of blues, with hues and patinas a fan deck could never replicate.
Is the video too much?
Nope, just right.
